Elementary Academic Teams - Laura Earls, Sponsor

Mission Statement of LeFlore Elementary and Junior High Academics Program The mission of the LeFlore Elementary and Junior High Academics Program is to empower young students to extend their learning beyond the classroom into more difficult subjects, promote personal growth in interactions with other people in a team setting, and motivate students to take ownership of their own learning. Group work and practice in the LeFlore academic program provides interaction with peers in a supervised setting while learners acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to succeed. Older students also take advantage of opportunities to help younger students learn to successfully participate in academic activities. Our participation in multiple forms of academic tournaments gives our students the ability to meet students from other schools with similar interests, engage in opportunities to compete that they might otherwise not have, and the ability to analyze their own growth in knowledge and skills throughout the year
